This is determined by the series of cable you choose, different traits arise with varying: thickness, elements, weight, flexibility, impedance, capacitance, tensile strength, aesthetics, etc.
Example 1: NDP series cables are thicker than Steel series cables because capacitance is lowest by adding isolating material between the conductors.
Example 2: Speaker series cables host 11AWG unshielded silver & copper conductors which are thicker than the industry standard.
